A private non-bank financial institution with a focus on investing in commercially feasible infrastructure projects is looking for experienced highly competent and self-motivated professionals to fill the following position:

Environment Specialist
Jakarta Raya

Responsibilities:

• Job Purpose: Promoting the implementation of Social & Environmental assesment, pollution prevention and abatement, community health, safety and security, biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural resource management.
• Expected Outcomes
  • Principles:
    • Promote and facilitate the implementations of  Social & Environmental assesment, pollution prevention and abatement, community health, safety and security, biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural resource management.
    • Report lessons learned and good practises and recommend enhancements to S & E principles.
  • Guidance and advisory Function
    • Review environmental assesment report, environmental management plans, public health action plans,  environment, health and safety plans among others and recommend enhancements to assure compliance with policies and principles
    • Prepare corrective action plans and propose S&E covenants to be included in investment agreements
    • During projects processing, undertake environmental due diligence, conduct field visits and assist in public consultation and disclosure activities to support the implementation and ensure compliance with  social Principles
    • Monitor and supervise the projects to ensure on going compliance with aplicable S&E performance requirement and implementation of corrective plans.

Requirements:

• Education Requirements
  • A university degree in engineering or applied science (civil/chemical/sanitary/biology/geology/geography, forestry or other related fields) preferebly at post-graduate level or its equivalent
• Relevants Experience and other reuirements
  • Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in environmental assesment,environmental, health and safety audit and environmental management, planning and implementation
  • A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant Indonesia laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, team and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill in English and bahasa Indonesia
  • Knowledge and understanding of multilateral financing institutions environmental  policies
